Founder’s Story
From Ground Zero to Global Perspective
From coordinating the pre-launch and laying the groundwork for an international school before its first day of classes to guiding more than 5,000 families through admissions, our founder brings a perspective shaped by real, hands-on experience. With 15 years in education and nearly a decade in international student recruitment, her academic journey—from Singapore’s GCE O-Levels to Australian Matriculation and university studies—reflects the very pathways she now supports.
Her role in establishing a Canadian IB international school in Malaysia began in 2016, where she organised marketing events, exhibitions and fairs, managed admissions and administrative systems, and contributed to the operational foundation that led to the school’s 2017 launch.
Being part of the school’s early development—setting up systems, advising families, and supporting operational readiness—gave her a unique understanding of what schools truly need and what families genuinely value. This insight informs the work we do today.
Now living in Western Australia and experiencing the local primary and high school system with her own children, she brings both professional expertise and personal experience to bridging families with high-quality international learning opportunities. Orion Pyro leverages this expertise to connect families with meaningful international opportunities while supporting schools in expanding their global reach.
