Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does Orion Pyro do for families?
We help families explore and select international school options that fit their student’s goals, assist with applications, and share essential pre-departure tips to better prepare for the move. Our aim is to make the journey smoother and better informed.
Q: Do you guarantee a school placement or enrolment?
We carefully help families explore suitable schools that are a strong fit and have potential availability. Each school makes its own enrolment decisions based on capacity and admissions criteria, and we work in alignment with those processes to ensure families are well-prepared for that process.
Q: Are there any legal or regulatory obligations I should know about?
Yes. International schooling often involves compliance with laws and regulations in the destination country (such as student visa conditions, welfare requirements, study-permit obligations). The student (and family) must meet those obligations. Using an agent helps, but does not remove your personal responsibility to understand and comply with those rules.
Q: How much do your services cost, and what’s included?
Our service fees vary depending on the destination, school, and level of support required. In some cases, there may be no direct cost to families. We’ll provide a clear and personalised breakdown of any applicable fees during our consultation or in the proposal. Please note that school tuition, visa fees, travel, and other third-party costs are not included.
Q: Do you guarantee visa approval?
We provide guidance and support in preparing for the visa process, but visa approval is determined solely by immigration authorities and is outside the control of both our agency and the school. Each visa application is assessed on its own merits and in accordance with the destination country’s regulations.
Q: What if the student changes their mind, or the circumstances change after enrolment?
Change of mind, deferral or cancellation of studies may incur additional costs or impact visa/welfare arrangements. We advise families to consider decisions carefully and understand the terms and conditions of the chosen school, visa rules and our agreement. We will support as much as possible, but these risks remain.
Q: What level of support do you provide after arrival at the school?
We continue to offer ongoing support — checking in with the student’s well-being, academic progress, cultural adjustment and welfare. We provide advice and coordination where required (within our service scope). However, the school remains primarily responsible for day-to-day academic supervision and welfare.
Q: Is studying overseas the same for all families/students?
Every student’s journey is unique: academic background, language ability, cultural adjustment, personal resilience, and support structures differ. Studying abroad can bring many benefits but also challenges (homesickness, cultural adjustment, language barriers, adapting to new school systems). We help prepare you for both the opportunities and the realities.
Q: What are my responsibilities as a parent/family?
-
Provide accurate and complete information in your application.
-
Meet deadlines for application, enrolment, visa submission and travel.
-
Engage actively with the student’s transition (e.g., accommodation, welfare, cultural adaptation).
-

Q: How do you handle privacy and data protection?
We respect your personal information and handle all documents and correspondence securely. We will only use your data for the purpose of providing our service and sharing with the schools you apply to (with your consent). Our privacy policy outlines details of how we collect, use, store and dispose of personal data.
